On Saturday 16th July we held our 1st Taster Sessions as part of relaunching Scouting in Kirkby, with several parents offering to get involved in running the group!
The taster sessions included games and activities that gave a taste of what Scouts get up to – for both young people and their parents/guardians alike. There were three sessions:
- 10.00-11.00 – for Beavers (6-8 year olds)
- 11.30-12.30 – for Cubs (8-10.5 year olds)
- 13.00-14.00 – for Scouts (10.5-14 year olds)
Young people and their parents/guardians met our existing volunteers and Merseyside’s Growth Development Officer Jo Green (jo.green@scouts.org.uk).
Our thanks to PC Cox from Merseyside Police who brought a car and kit for everyone to try out!
